Jelena Đerić

Jelena Đerić is a Junior Researcher at the BioSense Institute, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. She specializes in the development of gas sensors for electronic nose (e-nose) systems, with a focus on 2D nanomaterials such as MXene, MoS₂, and graphene derivatives. Jelena holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, where she received the Nikola Tesla Award. Jelena is currently a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at the same faculty. Her research focuses on the formulation of functional inks, inkjet printing of sensor structures, and the electrochemical and electrical characterization of printed samples. Jelena takes part in national and international research projects and has gained additional experience through workshops and summer schools focused on nanomaterials, microfluidics, and flexible electronics.
